(Fremont County, WY) – Nine Fremont County girls, three from Lander, two each from Wind River Shoshoni and Riverton reached the semi-finals of the all-class girls’ state wrestling championships in Casper.
Lander’s trio of Harlie Velarde, Andie Gibson and Jordan Nielsen all made the final four at 170, 145 and 125 pounds respectively.
The Shoshoni twins, Sawyer and Peyton Arnhold, are in the 110- and 105-pound semi-finals respectively. Peyton will wrestle Wind River’s Molly Bornhoft in one semi-final match.
Wind River’s other semi-finalist is Lily Hill at 115 pounds.
Riverton’s Hailee Cooper and Aleah Marquez will wrestle today for a championship spot at 100 and 235 pounds respectively.
