(Riverton, WY) – Around 11:20 PM Sunday night, February 15, the Riverton Police Department received a report that a “car crashed into the bar,” later determined to be Rivercity Rendezvous, located in the 900 block of South Federal Blvd.
While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, RPD Chief Eric Hurtado confirmed with County 10 that the driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Lander juvenile, showed “no signs of intoxication,” and that “no charges are being sought” at this time.
Chief Hurtado stated that upon arriving at the scene, officers located the driver, who was “experiencing a medical emergency,” and that both he and the passenger were soon transported to the local hospital.
As stated above, the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the RPD call log issued on February 16 informs that a “State accident report (is) pending.”
