UPDATE: Ichiban Seakhouse has confirmed that they will be temporarily closed for repairs.
(Riverton, WY) – A driver was reported to have accidentally driven through the front of the Ichiban Steakhouse building Saturday afternoon, December 13, Riverton Police Department Chief Eric Hurtado confirmed with County 10.
The incident occurred around 12 PM at the steakhouse, located at 303 S Federal Blvd.
Chief Hurtado reported that there were no injuries to either the driver or any patrons inside the business.
“An 18-year-old new male driver was navigating his car in the Ichiban parking lot,” Chief Hurtado shared with County 10. “The driver appeared to have become confused with the brake and gas pedal and stated he accidentally crashed into the front of the restaurant.”
Chief Hurtado added that officers are continuing to investigate the collision.
