(South Bend, IN) – Notre Dame football rolled over Florida State Saturday in decisive 52-3 fashion, improving the Fighting Irish to 8-1 on the season.
The final score of the game in South Bend came from a former Wyoming high school athlete. Cody’s Luke Talich became the first ever Wyoming-born player to score a touchdown for the Irish.
The sophomore safety intercepted FSU quarterback Brock Glenn and then out-raced him 79 yards to the endzone for a “pick-6, ” creating a frenzy amongst his teammates and Irish fans.
Despite having scholarship offers from Utah, Washington State, Oregon State and many other schools, Luke walked-on at Notre Dame in 2023.
Notre Dame currently ranks 8th in the nation and will host Virginia next Saturday.
