(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting yesterday, November 12.
The following recap was provided by the Commissioners for that meeting.
- Resolution No. 2024-27 was approved adopting legal holidays and other closures for 2025: New Year’s Day (January 1); President’s Day (February 17); Memorial Day (May 26); Independence Day (July 4); Labor Day (September 1); Veterans Day (November 11); Thanksgiving Day (November 27); Thanksgiving Friday (November 28); Christmas Eve (December 24) and Christmas Day (December 25).
- The Carver Florek & James CPA’s compliance audit agreement for the year ended June 30, 2024 was approved for a fee of $62,000.
- Two grant award agreements between Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and Fremont County were approved in the amounts of $31,943.00 and $22,591.00 to support the investment of information and intelligence sharing/analysis to prevent a threatened or an actual act of terrorism.
- The Commission accepted the recommendation of the Fremont County Fire Warden to lift the Fremont County fire restrictions, applying only to property within unincorporated areas of the county as each municipality regulates land within its own boundaries.
