(Fremont County, WY) – A head-on collision reported on Friday, November 8 in the Ethete area resulted in one death and three injuries, according to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) preliminary report posted on November 12.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Wyoming resident Precious Gould.
The crash took place on WY-132 (Blue Sky Highway) near milepost 5, and was reported around 3:15 PM.
The report states that a vehicle was southbound and attempted to pass another southbound vehicle.
A northbound vehicle attempted to steer towards the southbound lane to avoid a collision, the report continues, at which point the passing vehicle steered back toward the southbound lane and impacted second vehicle head-on in the southbound lane.
Driver inattention was listed as a possible contributing factor, and the report states no seatbelts were in use.
Gould was a passenger in one of the vehicles, but the report did not indicate which one.
This is the fourth roadway death reported in Fremont County in less than two weeks. There have been 93 deaths on Wyoming’s roadways to date in 2024.
