(Fremont County, WY) – A two vehicle crash was reported yesterday, November 7, which resulted in one fatality and four injuries, according the preliminary report posted by the Wyoming Highway Patrol on November 8.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Wyoming resident Sarah Adams.
The report states that Adams was northbound near mile marker 113 on (US-26) WY-789 and began slowing to turn into a driveway, when a second northbound vehicle struck them from behind.
The two vehicles remained stuck together after the impact and traveled off the roadway onto the dirt shoulder, the report concludes.
The crash occurred around 5:10 PM.
No possible contributing factors were listed in the report, which also informed that no seat belts were in use.
There have been 90 deaths on Wyoming roadways to date in 2024.
