(Lander, WY) – In the early hours of the morning on August 23, 2024, the Lander Police Department responded to a call for service on South 4ᵗʰ Street in Lander.
The original call was dispatched as multiple gun shots from inside an apartment complex.
Upon investigation it was determined that one person had been shot and the shooter had taken their own life.
The identity of the victim and deceased is not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
There is no threat to the community or surrounding areas. This was an isolated event that was handled by Lander PD and remains under investigation at this time.
