(Riverton, Wyo.) – The former South Federal Maverick store is now just a memory, and debris. Crews this week began demolition at the site, including removing the underground gasoline storage tanks, taking down the large awning over where the gasoline pumps used to be, and using a track hoe to bring down the building.
The store was closed earlier this year after an employee was assaulted. That was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back after the location was the scene of many robberies and assaults.
