Patrol officer introduction, Youth Council selection, more on Riverton City Council meeting agenda for Tuesday

(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.

The agenda for the meeting includes an introduction and oath of office for a Riverton Police Department patrol officer.

The council will also hear a report on the study that was conducted to assess the feasibility of an Indoor Activity and Ice Center in Riverton.

There is one third-reading ordinance on the agenda, granting a franchise agreement with Spectrum Pacific West – an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications.

A public hearing will be held before the council considers a fireworks permit application for the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Committee on July 19.

Another public hearing will be held before the council considers a retail liquor license transfer of ownership from Sanderi LLC to Mt. Everest Indian and Nepalese Bistro LLC.

There are two bid awards on the agenda, for an operations truck and a weed and pest tractor.

Other agenda items include:

• a grant writing master service agreement with Lexipol LLC
• a fiscal year 2025 audit engagement agreement with ClingerHagerman LLC
• a resolution amending the membership limits of the Riverton Youth Council
• Youth Council membership selection 

An executive session will be held if needed before adjournment.

Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.

Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
