(Spokane, WA) – Eastern Shoshone youth, men, and women recently traveled to Spokane, Washington, to compete in the Battle of the Nations Basketball Tournament.
The journey was more than just about the game; it was about representing our communities, building connections, and creating unforgettable memories together. Also, giving our younger players a chance to learn from experienced athletes. Traveling together also strengthens relationships and creates lasting memories, especially for youth to experience this Inaugural Youth intertribal tournament.
Our teams showed strength, teamwork, and heart on the court and gained valuable experience and inspiration from competing alongside and against talented players from many Nations. Win or lose, we carried our pride with us every step of the way.
