You may be here wondering why a photo of an airborne fox represents a story about young Lander writers.
The POW! (Power of Words) program at Lander’s Baldwin Creek Elementary School was tasked with writing one sentence, just one, to best describe this stunning photograph called “Peter Pan’s Shadow” taken by photographer Cindy Goeddel.
The goal for the youngsters was to play with language, focus on how their writing sounds, and how it looks. POW! aims to spark enthusiasm for writing, specifically for Lander 4th and 5th graders.
