(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the meeting includes a public hearing for an ordinance granting a franchise agreement to Qwest Corporation (Centurylink) to operate and maintain a telecommunication system in the City of Lander.
Under old business, the council will consider approving three ordinances on third and final reading, including:
- an ordinance replacing the city’s zoning code
- an ordinance including utility poles in the street, right-of-way, and alley excavations permits portion of city code
- an ordinance granting Spectrum Pacific West permission to construct, install, maintain and operate a cable system
There are five resolutions on the agenda, including one that authorizes the submission of a grant application to FEMA for a Lander Volunteer Fire Department engine replacement, and another that authorizes an application to the Wyoming Community Gas Community Improvement Grant Program for the 2025 replacement of three gas char broil grills at City Park and North Park.
The third resolution would revoke a previous resolution that encumbered the Table Mountain Subdivision for the purposes of obtaining financing for Table Mountain Living Community.
The new resolution says the city “has determined that the Lander Housing Authority is not statutorily allowed to build, operate, and maintain Assisted Living and Memory Care housing opportunities in the City of Lander.”
Other resolutions on the agenda include:
- a resolution adopting new subdivision regulations
- a resolution adopting new supplements to the WY Public Works Standard Specification and Details
Other new business on the agenda includes:
- approve and authorize the mayor to sign the Pushroot Garden two-year lease renewal
- approve HSI Safety Training renewal and SDS for $10,100 and the addition of the new manager learning pathway in the amount of $400 for 10 employees
- approve and authorize the mayor to sign a change order granting High Country Construction an additional 50 calendar days plus winter, but no later than April 15, for substantial completion of the Lander High Pressure Water Systems Upgrades Phase III Projects
- approve and authorize the mayor to sign an amendment for an additional $71,000 in engineering fees to complete the High Pressure Water Systems Upgrades Phase III Project
- approve and authorize the mayor to sign a task order for the Apron Reconstruction Design Project
- ratify the 1985 transfer of a 1975 Ford Bronco from the City of Lander to the Lander Ambassadors
An executive session will be held before adjournment.
