The Evanston Lady Red Devils handed the Lady Wolverines a West 2-A loss at home on Friday with a four-game match at Wolverine Gym.
Evanston took the first two games 25-12 and 25-19 before Riverton rallied with a solid effort in the third in a 25-13 win. The fourth game was close but the Red Devils pulled away for a 25-22 victory.
Evanston sits alone atop the sub-conference that includes Riverton, Star Valley and Jackson.
The Lady Wolverines are in a three-way tie for second place with the Lady Braves and Lady Broncs at 1-2 in conference play.
Riverton’s overall record stands at 13-10.
The Lady Wolverines are idle Saturday but Evanston rode the bus onto Casper after the match and face second-ranked Kelly Walsh at Trojan Gym in a noon match on Saturday that features a battle between the two unbeaten teams in West 4-A.
Evanston is 22-10 overall and Kelly Walsh 22-2.
