Each week, staff at Riverton High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Ashlyn Andersen was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Francesca Jones.
Mrs. Francesca Jones: Ashlyn is a young lady of character and exudes kindness and respect for those around her. She thoughtfully balances her academic studies with her job and leads by example, striving towards her goals while motivating others to be their best self. Some of her achievements at RHS include lettering in cheerleading and various academic awards. I enjoy having her in class and admire her sense of responsibility, self-awareness, and perseverance.
Special Awards or Honors: Athletic letterman, Academic awards, Honor roll every year.
Outside Activities/Hobbies: Hang out with friends and family, and working at the Stock Doc.
Student’s Plans After Graduation: Go to college to get a veterinary technician certificate.
1. What advice do you have for younger students? Be kind, work hard, be yourself, and strive for your goals.
2. Who is your role model? What have you learned from them? My mom, she’s my role model because she embodies strength, kindness, and has a heart of gold. She has taught me since I was young to face any challenge even when it gets tough and aspire to be a better person every day. She is the type of person I want to become.
