BellaRose Austyn Chitwood was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Annette Benn-Thornton.
Mrs. Annette Benn-Thornton: It is with great enthusiasm that I nominate BellaRose Austyn Chitwood, RHS Student of the Week. Austyn exemplifies the very best of Riverton High School. She is an exceptional student, artist, and leader whose dedication and spirit define what it means to be a Wolverine.
In vocal music, Austyn has shown remarkable leadership this year. She has not only developed her own vocal and performance skills to an outstanding level, but has also taken on new challenges as a section leader and student conductor. Her musicianship and willingness to guide others make her a model of a true leader.
Outside the music room, Austyn continues to shine as an exceptional swimmer on the RHS Swim Team, balancing practices and swim meets with her rigorous academic schedule. She maintains a 4.0 GPA as a senior and ranks in the top ten percent of her senior class.
Her talent in vocal music and acting is, quite simply, “da bomb.” Whether she’s performing in choir, theatre, or speech and debate, Austyn brings a presence that commands attention and a heart that inspires those around her.
A proud member of Choir, Speech and Debate, Theatre, and National Honor Society, Austyn represents what it means to be a well-rounded student leader: driven, kind, creative, and deeply committed to excellence in every endeavor.

1. What advice do you have for younger students? When your teacher says an assignment is optional, it's not actually. Do the assignment.
2. Who is your favorite teacher, and why? My favorite teacher is Annette Benn-Thornton because she nurtured me and taught me to have a voice.
3. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? My favorite activity is Speech & Debate because I can be as obnoxious as I want in my events.
