Each week, staff at Riverton High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Grace Jordan was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Macey Heil.
Ms. Macey Heil: Grace is a kind, respectful, and fun presence in the classroom, consistently leading by example. Grace has a strong work ethic and dedication to learning are evident in everything she does. Grace treats her peers and teachers with genuine respect and positivity, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. A true role model, she shows what it means to balance responsibility with a great attitude.
School Activities: NHS and Band
Special Awards or Honors: I’ve lettered academically, color guard captions, and 3x marching band superior rating.
Outside Activities/Hobbies: Weightlifting, reading, and off-road wheeling.
Student’s Plans After Graduation: I am taking a gap year before attending college at BYUI.
1. What advice do you have for younger students? Don’t think too far into the future, it’ll only stress you out.
2. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? My favorite subject is English because it’s study of the written word that can be seen from so many perspectives.
3. Who is your role model? What have you learned from them? Corporal Desmond Doss. He went through Pacific Theater with faith and determination to be a medic even though he was a conscientious objector.
