Each week, staff at Riverton High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Kadie Crook was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Nathaniel Gillette.
Nathaniel Gillette: Kadie has been a committed and dedicated student of Music and Theater through all of high school. She has frequently been recognized for her outstanding musicianship and been selected to participate in multiple honor ensembles. I can always rely on Kadie to not only have her own parts learned, but to be ready to help others and support them in their learning and their sound. She is always ready to take on a new challenge and repeatedly rises to the occasion.
Annette Benn-Thornton: I am writing to nominate Kadie Crook for the prestigious honor of Student of the Week. Kadie is an exceptional RHS student who exemplifies the qualities of a well-rounded and dedicated individual. Kadie is responsible and hard-working, consistently demonstrating a strong understanding of her academic priorities. She approaches her studies with diligence and focus, ensuring she meets and often exceeds expectations. Beyond academics, Kadie is a talented musician and an excellent actor, whose performances enrich our school’s artistic programs. Her creative contributions inspire her peers and add vibrancy to both the high school and college community. What truly sets Kadie apart is her willingness to support her classmates in their educational needs. She fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment, always ready to help others succeed alongside her. Kadie embodies the qualities we strive to cultivate in our students: responsibility, talent, and a spirit of collaboration. It is a privilege to recognize her outstanding achievements and contributions.

Student’s Plans After Graduation: I’m planning to go to LCCC and get a degree in theatre, then go on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
1. Who is your favorite teacher, and why? Mrs. Thornton is my favorite teacher because she’s given me chances that no one else could ever give me. She cares so deeply about what she does. She’s contributed so much to the person I am today.
2. Who is your role model? What have you learned from them? My role model is Jesus Christ! He is the perfect example to follow since He lived a sinless life and shows everyone perfect love. I have learned how to become a better person and help others because of Him.
3. What makes your school special? I believe our theatre department is what makes our school special. We have one of the best theatre teachers in the entire world and our drama team has touched so many hearts thanks to her.
