Each week, staff at Riverton High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Lily Appleby was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Tomi Kirkland.
Mrs. Tomi Kirkland: If you need a calm and steady presence in your life, find Lily Appleby. This magnificent human is so easygoing and sweet all the time. She is dedicated to her academics. She is a fabulous flyer with the support of her bases in cheerleading. She is a loyal and trusting friend. Lily has been a glorious addition to the yearbook staff. She is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Her sweet and pleasant demeanor will be missed next year.

1. What advice do you have for younger students? Take important classes early.
2. Who is your favorite teacher, and why? My favorite teacher is Kirkland because she always keeps the energy in a room.
3. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? My favorite activity is cheer because I’ve made so many memories with everyone there and gained some of my best friends.
4. Who is your role model? What have you learned from them? My role model would be my brother. I’ve learned to let life happen and there will always be something to look forward to.
