Each week, staff at Riverton High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Rosalinda Ramos was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Tomi Kirkland.
Mrs. Tomi Kirkland: Rosa Yudith! We love you girl. Your bright smile, your loud personality and your love of school spirit are what make you so lovable! Rosa has left her mark on all things RHS: academics, StuCo, yearbook, NHS, pep assemblies, friends, student sections…everything fun and wonderful about high school! Rosa likes to keep herself very busy, which is why she helps run student council, keeps her grades up and works a part-time CNA job. Rosa has the best sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Her quippy ways and school spirit will be missed next year at RHS!

Outside Activities/Hobbies: Playing travel softball, crafting, driving while blasting music, watching sunsets, and spending time with my friends and family.
Student’s Plans After Graduation: Earn a degree in business and then start up my own business.
1. What advice do you have for younger students? Do not be scared to put yourself out there and get involved! Whether it’s joining a club, trying out for a sport, dressing up for the student section, or even just starting a conversation with a classmate, I promise you it is definitely worth it and doing so can create some of your best high school memories.
2. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? My favorite school subject currently would be Yearbook as it is a lot of fun and I have many friends in that class. Kirkland is also the teacher of that class and she tends to keep us entertained with her stories.
3. What makes your school special? What makes RHS so special is that from staff to students we all have each other’s back. Riverton isn’t the biggest town so just about everybody knows each other, which in a way brings a sense of family and home into our community. Most of these relationships and friendships begin to form here at RHS and continue to grow throughout time in our community.
4. Who is your role model? What have you learned from them? For me, my role model is my parents. They have shown me that if you put enough hard work and dedication into something you can achieve anything, which is why I want to start up my own successful business just as they have their own.
