Each week, staff at Riverton High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior towards their peers and their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will present a scholarship of $500 to one of the students nominated! Click here to view all students.
Rylee Romer was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Tomi Kirkland.
Mrs. Tomi Kirkland: Who knew that after traveling to Boston/NYC, on a school trip in the spring of her junior year, that Rylee Romer would become a favorite for both my daughter Loxley and me? Rylee was so kind and attentive to Loxley when on trip making sure she was safe, taking fun pictures and helping her understand the history they were learning about on tour. Rylee is a steady and strong young woman. Nothing phases Rylee: she carries on with kindness and grace no matter the situation she is faced with. Rylee is an integral part of the yearbook crew. She is magnificent!

1. What advice do you have for younger students? If you're already late, you might as well be extra late with food or a fun drink. Also, get all the required classes out of your way during your underclass years (freshman/sophomore).
2. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? Favorite school subject is probably any glass class. I love working with class and creating my ideas, Tracey is also pretty cool.
3. Who is your favorite teacher, and why? Tomi Kirkland, because she yells and is funny (sometimes) and likes to buy me food when I need it.
