Timbree Mathill was nominated as the RHS student of the week by Annette Benn-Thornton.
Mrs. Annette Thornton: I would like to nominate Timbree Mathill for Student of the Week. Timbree is an exceptionally bright student who consistently demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence. She excels in challenging courses, earning top grades while still being open to new challenges. Timbree is incredibly supportive of her classmates. She willingly supports and encourages others to do and be their best. Her willingness to try new things, even when they fall outside her comfort zone, reflects her growth mindset and leadership potential. Timbree’s dedication, intelligence, and positive influence make her a standout member of our school community. She models hard work, perseverance, and integrity, and she inspires those around her to reach their full potential.
Mrs. Tomi Kirkland: Timbree is a magnificent human! She is a dedicated student, a hardworking athlete and a caring friend. It has been a privilege to get to know Timbree over the years as she grew from a quiet freshman into a confident senior who has made her mark through all her undertakings in Student Council. If you need something taken care of in a creative and fun way, Timbree is your girl! Since she is part of the best advisory group at RHS, Timbree's sense of humor and kindness will be missed next year!
School Activities: Soccer, Basketball, Student Council, and National Honors Society
Outside Activities/Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and making anything craft related.
Student’s Plans After Graduation: I plan to get my bachelors in biology, before entering medical school to become a pediatrician.
1. What advice do you have for younger students? My one piece of advice for younger students is to get involved as much as possible. High school goes by fast so take advantage of all opportunities.
2. Who is your favorite teacher, and why? I have a tie between favorite teachers. Sam Howerton and Tomi Kirkland are my two favorite teachers. They bring so much energy to school every day and make showing up a little more exciting.
3. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? My favorite subject is science. It has always fascinated me knowing how the universe works on a molecular level.
4. What makes your school special? The people and memories I have made at this school make it a special place for me to come to every day.
