It was a small field at the annual Berry Bryant / Kyle Johnson cross country meet held at the Rendezvous Ponds in Riverton. Riverton junior Ridge Rieman won the meet in a time of 17:44.10, followed by Lander freshman Chase Hartpence in second at 17:53.20.
The meet was a hot one with bright sunshine and 87-degree temperatures on a rare windless day in Fremont County. By the time the boys’ race started, clouds had gathered, and it cooled a bit.

Worland won both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
The Lander boys were third with 66 points, and host Riverton was fourth with 89.
Ava Tapia of Worland won the girls’ division in 20.49.90, 19 seconds ahead of runner-up Robin Clapp, a Riverton freshman.
The Worland girls scored 32 to win the meet; Lander was second with 48 and Riverton third with 55.
