(Cody, WY) – Riverton’s boys golf team brought home both a team championship and an individual title Friday at the Cody Invite at Olive Glenn Golf & Country Club.
Riverton’s Cade Kisling paced the field, shooting a 74 on the opening day before firing a 70 on Friday to finish with a two-day total of 144. Kisling finished nine strokes ahead of Buffalo’s Bryson Kolb and both Lander’s William Oland and Isaiah Webb, who were locked in a three-way tie for second at 153.
Fremont County was well represented near the top of the individual standings. Riverton’s Cameron Brown finished fifth, followed by John Hull in seventh, Brody Taylor in eighth and Lexington Kirkland in 12th. Lander’s Ritchie Gonzales placed 13th, while Peyton Young and Josh Lozier tied for 14th.
Riverton captured the boys team championship with a combined score of 611. Lander finished runner-up at 635, while Douglas placed third with a 658.
No Riverton girls competed at the tournament. Lander’s Brinlee Hammond was the team’s top female finisher, placing 11th overall. Claire Francom finished 24th, Abby Conner was 32nd and Shelby Hunt placed 34th.
Lander finished eighth in the girls team standings, while host Cody claimed the team championship. Buffalo’s Addie Bettinger won the individual title with a two-day total of 175.
