(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a special meeting at noon on Tuesday, June 24, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
There is one item on the agenda: a resolution amending the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget.
“Per statutory requirements, staff must review the fiscal year budget before year end and recommend appropriation adjustments to the governing body if cost centers have been or will be over-expended,” staff said in a memo to the council. “The governing body must authorize transfers between cost centers when the bottom-line appropriation for a center is increased or decreased.”
The memo says this year’s amendment increases the city’s total budget by about $666,380, solely within the Economic Development Fund.
“All other adjustments reflect intra-fund transfers and do not impact the City’s overall cash position,” staff said.
Tuesday’s special meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
