(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
The agenda includes a proclamation for Extra Mile Day.
The Council will also consider a Fremont County School District 25 Recreation Board appointment.
Other items on the agenda include:
- a permit to grant space to Southwest Airlines Company to house radio equipment for flight tracking at the Airport Fire Station building
- a $21,981 maintenance service agreement for a NICE radio logger
- a Special Use Permit renewal with the Bureau of Reclamation for property adjoining Central Wyoming Regional Airport
- a lease to allow Turo Inc. to offer rental car pick-up and drop-off at Central Wyoming Regional Airport
A memo from city staff says Turo Inc. is “a nationwide Peer-to-Peer car rental service that allows prescreened car owners, referred to as ‘Hosts,’ to offer their cars and trucks for rent to the public through the Turo booking network.”
The Council will also consider approving the submission of a $281,692 grant application to the Department of Justice – Bureau of Justice Affairs for the Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program on Tuesday.
Staff said the program “aims to support publicly funded law enforcement and correctional agencies in establishing, expanding, or enhancing body-worn camera programs.”
The Council will convene into an executive session for personnel before adjournment.
Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.
Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
