(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
The agenda includes an ordinance on second reading establishing a liquor license violation points system.
A public hearing will be held before the council considers another ordinance on first reading regarding notification of intoxicated individuals.
A memo from staff says “the proposed ordinance provides a requirement (for) the timely reporting to law enforcement of those persons who are ejected from a licensed establishment due to intoxication.”
The change would “prevent criminal activity by warning law enforcement of intoxicated and unruly patrons who are leaving establishments,” the memo states.
An executive session will be held if needed before adjournment.
Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.
Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
