(Riverton, WY) – The City of Riverton has granted a temporary certificate of occupancy for the new Amazon facility at the Eastern Shoshone Business Park, City Administrator Kyle Butterfield announced this week.
“Many folks that have been north of town (have) seen that facility rise,” Butterfield said during a Riverton City Council meeting Tuesday. “We’re very excited with that addition and Amazon’s relocation to our community and appreciate the work of our (community development) department as they’ve supported them through the construction process.”
On Wednesday, Community Development Director Gary Michaud explained that a temporary certificate of occupancy permits use of the building pending completion of a few “minor items” that must be addressed for a permanent certificate to be issued.
“It’s close enough to where there’s not a concern,” Michaud said. “They’re pretty much good to go, (and) they did a really good job. It’s a beautiful facility, and it’s a nice addition to Riverton and a nice addition to the Eastern Shoshone Business Park.”
