All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Riverton, WY) – A 55-year-old Riverton man was arrested this weekend after making alleged threats to a neighbor, which resulted in the Sweetwater Bomb Squad being called in to investigate the incident, according to a post shared on the RPD Facebook page on September 8.
“On Sunday afternoon, Riverton Police Officers arrested 55-year-old Samuel Giese after he allegedly threatened to burn a neighbor’s house,” the post informs. “Officers received a call (from) one of Giese’s neighbors reporting he had made a threat after a dispute over animals.”
Riverton Police Officers eventually arrested Giese near his home, and a search warrant was later conducted at his home on Westview Drive.
At that time, the Sweetwater Bomb Squad assisted RPD officers after several suspicious items were found inside the home. Giese was later booked into the Fremont County Detention Center.
“The investigation is continuing,” the post concludes. “More information will be released as it becomes available.”
