Wyoming’s first ever sanctioned pumpkin weigh-off competition was held last weekend in Worland.
Two competitors grew pumpkins that weighed over 1,000 lbs. Riverton’s Ron Hoffman, and Worland’s Jay Richard. Ultimately, Hoffman’s pumpkin was declared the winner of the event.
According to the Facebook page, “Pumpkin Fanatic,” The first place prize was $600, and second place was $300.
Immediately after the pumpkin weigh-in, several pumpkins were lifted by crane and dropped. One was even dropped onto a car.
