(Riverton, WY) – High Plains Power, Inc., a trusted provider of safe and reliable energy, is proud to announce the appointment of Jon Mayes as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 8, 2025. Mayes succeeds Darick Eisenbraun, who served with dedication for five years.
A native of Riverton, Mayes has been with the company since 2015, serving as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he played a pivotal part in shaping the company’s financial strategy, improving operational efficiency, and driving key growth initiatives. Under his leadership, High Plains Power has made significant strides in enhancing service reliability and improving member satisfaction. Mayes possesses an in-depth understanding of the business, a deep commitment to the company’s members, and a clear vision for the future.
As CEO, Mayes will prioritize the modernization of infrastructure, elevate the member experience, and create long-term value for all stakeholders. He is also committed to partnering with community leaders to celebrate and promote the unique qualities that make Wyoming special. An emphasis will be placed on fostering meaningful development opportunities for youth in our service areas, with the goal of inspiring them to return as future leaders in the community.
