The Riverton Police Department posted on their Facebook page this afternoon that they have received multiple reports of a new phone scam.
According to RPD, callers are receiving messages from a fake Verizon representative telling them their account has been frozen.
Authorities remind residents to never give out personal information over the phone to someone you do not know.
