(Riverton, WY) – Riverton Police Department Sergeant, Amy Fyler stopped by our office to discuss some Halloween safety tips for parents, kids and motorists.
Among other things, Fyler encouraged parents to keep lights or reflective clothing on their trick-or-treaters if going out after dark. “Masks are fun,” she explained, “but face paint offers a better range of vision.” Amy also said if your children are candy-collecting on their own or with friends only, to make sure parents know the route or neighborhoods they intend to be in.
Riverton Police are also adamantly encouraging motorists to use an abundance of caution while driving on Halloween. “Go slower than you would normally go and keep your eyes scanned everywhere for kids.”
