(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Police Department is investigating a series of robberies that occurred this morning, Wednesday, June 25, according to a release shared on the RPD Facebook page.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning, Riverton Police Department officers responded to a reported robbery at the Maverik First Stop, located at 1604 W. Main Street.
While officers were on scene investigating the initial incident, the Riverton Dispatch Center received a hold-up alarm and subsequent 911 call reporting a second robbery in progress at the Loaf N Jug, located at 305 N. Federal Boulevard. Additional officers were immediately dispatched to that location to begin a separate investigation.
Shortly thereafter, Dispatch received a third 911 call reporting an attempted robbery at the Pit Stop Travel Center, located at 819 S. Federal Boulevard.
All three incidents are currently under active investigation. The Riverton Police Department is working to determine whether the incidents are connected and is reviewing surveillance footage and collecting witness statements at each location.
