Get ready to witness the sky come alive with a spectacular display of color and skill as the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally returns for its annual event from July 19 to 21, 2024. Balloons will launch every morning starting at 6:00 a.m.
This exciting event promises to captivate audiences of all ages with a weekend full of hot air balloon flights and entertainment. Every year before the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally, people ask how they can get a ride in one of the balloons. In the past that wasn’t always possible, but this year is different!
For the first time, there will be paid balloon rides. Flights will take place at 6:00 AM all weekend during the rally. Most balloons can take two to three people and kids need to be eight or older. The cost is $300 per person, flights last about an hour, and the whole experience typically takes around three hours. There are still a few spots available on Friday July 19th and Sunday July 21st. The highlight of the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally will be the Saturday night glow on July
20th, where the balloons will light up the evening sky in a mesmerizing display of color and
light. The evening’s festivities will kick off with live music starting at 7 p.m., creating a vibrant
atmosphere for attendees to enjoy.
In addition to the balloon glow, guests can also experience thrilling balloon launches, graceful
flights across the sky, and a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the weekend:
The balloon glow spectacle will begin with balloons starting to inflate at 8:30 p.m., as skilled
pilots and crew members prepare for the breathtaking display. As the dusk settles, the balloons will gradually come to life, casting a magical glow across the event grounds.
Food vendors offering delicious treats and live music performances will further enhance the festive ambiance, making the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally night glow a must-attend event. This enchanting sight promises to be a memorable experience for all who attend, offering a unique blend of artistry and excitement.
The Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally also offers a unique experience for those willing to learn how to crew a balloon. The rally relies completely on volunteers from the community to help get the beautiful balloons into the air. Each balloon needs 2 to 4 people to help. This is a great way to become more involved with the rally and get to know the fun and energetic pilots as you help set up the balloon, inflate, launch, chase the balloon as it’s flying, and help pack it up after it landed. There is no experience needed as the pilot and crew chief will instruct and teach you about the tasks needed for their specific balloon.
