(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees tonight will review and will be asked to accept a Facilities Utilization Study. The study includes possible future use or demolition of the Tonkin Activities Center. The district is waiting on legislative action on possible funding of future use for the facility, which houses the Special Education Unit of the Wyoming Department of Education, Fremont County Board of Cooperative Education Services offices and the Frontier Academy. The Riverton High School Wrestling program also utilizes the gymnasium at the former high school building.
Other items on tap tonight include discussion of two new student clubs proposed at at RHS, an update of a project of the school’s geometry/construction class, acknowledging home school requests and acceptance of a Johnson/O’Mally grant.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the District 25 Central Office, 121 North 5th West.
