(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.
The consent agenda includes the adoption of the following policies on second reading: Non-School Sponsored Student Travel, Procurement Policy and Procedures, Homeschooling, and Sex Designated Facilities.
The board will also celebrate Frontier Academy graduations for Alex Ray Bisbee, Aspyn Rae Brown, Mia Vaughn Ecker, Brandon Michael Steven Monroe, Jamie Hunter Moss, Crimson Jade Rose, Kaidence Kimberly Straub, Adinideen Lucy Willow and Tiera Marie C’Bearing (not present) and hear FFA State Speeches from Emma Hill and Dani Santi with RHS Ag Teacher Haylee Lavoie.
The action item agenda includes the approval of the Wyoming High School Activities Association Membership and the adoption of the Frontier Academy calendar.
The board will also consider adopting the following policies on first reading: School Sponsored Field Trips and Activities, Field Trip Procedures, Classified Staff as Coaches, and Compensation Non Exempt Staff Travel.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- approve a new course proposal (Advanced Acting)
- accept a resignation (RHS Assistant Cheer Coach Venessa Wiginton)
- offer contracts (RMS Assistant Cross Country Coach Jaitlyn Pettit and RHS Head Track Coach Henry Lynn)
Under information items, the board will be reminded of a work session planned for 5 p.m. Thursday, June 12.
The board will also hear about a $2,000 donation from Injury Prevention and review certified staff changes.
Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are also stored.
