The Fremont County School District 25 (Riverton) School Board will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, in the Board Chambers at 121 North 5th Street.
The agenda for the meeting includes a public hearing on the 2024-2025 budget and intent to levy mills.
The board will consider adopting the budget and authorizing the mill levy assessment later in the meeting.
The board will also consider approving a resolution to amend the fiscal year 2024 budget during Wednesday’s meeting.
Other action items on the agenda include:
-reserving the right to withdraw funds from the Fremont County Board of Cooperative Educational Services in 2025-2026
-accepting a $117,560 Perkins Grant for the 2024-2025 school year
-adopting the Local Educational Agency Assurances to be placed on file with the Wyoming Department of Education as part of a funding application
-adopting an amendent to Policy 5100 “Family and Medical Leave” on first reading
-approving an updated salary schedule for the 2024-2025 school year, including an increase of one step for each returning employee hired before Jan. 1, 2024
Information items on the agenda include:
-an agreement with the Wyoming Senior Citizens Inc. Foster Grandparents Program
-policy revisions
-updated job titles and descriptions
-staff transfers due to 2024-2025 elementary reconfiguration
-classified staff changes
Wednesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
