Riverton School Board to consider new course proposals during organizational meeting Tuesday

(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 (Riverton) Board of Trustees will hold its organizational board meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West. 

The agenda includes the election of the board’s Chair, Vice-Chair, Clerk, Treasurer, and Legal Counsel (Vincent & Zafonte, LLC).

The board will also approve:

• First Interstate, US Bank, Wyoming Community Bank, Wyoming Government Investment Fund, Central Bank and Trust, and Wells Fargo Bank as depositors
• the new board chair, clerk, and treasurer as signatories for the accounts at the above-listed banks
• the use of the existing signature plate until new plates are made

Under action items, the board will consider an administrative recommendation to approve new course proposals, including Introduction to Networking, Hardware Maintenance, Introduction to Athletic Training, and Technical Theatre I.

The board will also consider administrative recommendations to give the Board Chair permissions and to offer a contract.

Under Information Items, the board will hear about a Memorandum of Understanding with Eastern Washington University to provide field experiences for students in the School of Education at EWU.

The board will also hear about classified staff changes and enrollment before convening into an executive session for the superintendent’s evaluation.

Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
