(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.
The consent agenda for the meeting includes the following policies on second reading:
- Policy 2025-R “Federal Grant Cost Principles and Allowability”
- amended Policy 2045 “Banking Services, Management of Federal Awards”
- amended Policy 6100 “Student Activities and Organizations”
- amended Policy 6100-R “Student Activities and Organizations – Proposal and Approval Process”
During the round table portion of the meeting, the board will hear trip debriefs from Annette Benn Thornton and thespian students as well as Haylee Lavoie and the Denver Stock Show students.
The board will also hear a report on Rendezvous Elementary School from Principal NeCole Hernandez and Assistant Principal Blaze Sand before convening into an executive session for personnel.
There are three out-of-state travel requests on the agenda:
- for Riverton High School and Riverton Middle School Future Farmers of America students to travel to Greeley, Colo., in March 2026 for the Blackout Livestock Show
- for the RHS girls’ soccer players to travel to Denver in March 2026 for the Varsity Mini-Camp.
- for the RHS Key Club students to travel to Estes Park, Colo., in April 2026 for the Key Club District Convention
The board will also consider adopting amended Policy 4115-R “Field Trip Procedures” and amended Policy 4115-E “Out of State Activity and Field Trip: Board Approval and Budget Request Form” on first reading.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- an administrative recommendation to declare items as surplus
- an administrative recommendation to approve a new course proposal (History of Rock Music)
- an administrative recommendation to accept a retirement request from Audrey Tyndall as Rendezvous Elementary Second Grade Teacher
- an administrative recommendation to accept resignations from Aspen Elementary Case Manager Shelli Chance; RHS Social Studies, Computer Science and Drivers Ed Instructor Daniel McLane; Aspen Elementary First Grade Teacher Morgan Masson; and RMS Volleyball Coach Tiffany Linck
- an administrative recommendation to offer a contract to Jacob Lamm as District Adaptive PE Teacher
Information items on the agenda include notifications of 10-day drop students, certified and classified staff changes, and enrollment.
