(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.
The agenda for the meeting includes a Costa Rica trip debrief with Chad Fallin and students.
The board will also consider an administrative recommendation to adopt the following policies on first reading: Certified, Licensed Professional, and Professional Staff Advertising, Recruiting and Hiring; District Staff Fringe Benefits; and District Staff Short-Term Leave.
The board will consider seven other administrative recommendations as well, including:
- accept the 2025-2026 Perkins Grant for $92,418 and a Consolidated Grant for $2.85 million
- adopt the revised district vision, priorities, commitments and core values
- approve a district staff handbook
- approve the Aspen Elementary Nest Daycare Parent Handbook
- approve the Riverton High School Wolverine Activities Parent/Student Guidebook
- accept resignations from Rendezvous IDEAL Teacher Deirdre Milligan, RHS Head Girls’ Swim Coach Kristi Spriggs, RHS Assistant Girls’ Swim Coach Andrea McCoy, RHS Assistant Wrestling Coach Trayton Hyatt; and RHS Assistant Wrestling Coach Anna Beth Bornhoft
- offer contracts to Rendezvous IDEAL Teacher Amy Larsen, Rendezvous Learning Resource Teacher Tamara Stucki, Willow Creek Nurse Vashti Anderson, RHS Assistant Football Coach Corte McGuffey, RHS Head Girls’ Swim Coach Gretta Roth, and RHS Assistant Volleyball Coach Ashley Penner
Under information items, the board will discuss an articulation agreement for dual and concurrent enrollment with Central Wyoming College.
The board will also look at three new policies – Firearms: Personnel Authorized to Carry; Meal Charge; and Family and Medical Leave – and hear about certified staff changes.
The last item on the agenda is a discussion about the Tonkin Monument, including applications for review.
The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are also stored.
