(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will hold an organization meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.
The agenda includes the election of the board officers and the approval of financial designations and appointments.
As part of the consent agenda, the board will consider adopting amended Policy 2075 “Inventories and Property Management,” Policy 2085-R “School Property Disposal,” and Policy 5135-R “District Staff Supervision and Evaluation” on second reading.
Under action items, the board will consider accepting a draft audit report for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
The board will also consider giving the board chair permission as the signatory for all Findings of Facts and Conclusions of Law regarding Board student expulsions.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- award a $1.14 million bid to Norcon Industries for the Riverton High School Gym Floor and Bleacher Project
- accept a resignation from RHS Head Volleyball Coach Justin Taylor, effective Dec. 3
- offer contracts to RHS Assistant Wrestling Coaches Jackson Larsen and Lacey Reynolds for the 2025-2026 school year
Under information items, the board will hear about an upcoming Frontier Academy graduation, which will take place at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the program’s new building (formerly Jackson Elementary).
The board will also review the job description for the Native American Education Student Ambassador and hear about classified staff changes and enrollment.
An executive session regarding personnel will be held before adjournment.
Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are also stored.
