(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.
The agenda includes a hearing on the district’s 2025-2026 budget and intent to levy mills.
The board will also consider a Federal Programs appointment for Roy Brown, effective July 1.
Action items on the agenda include an administrative recommendation to approve a three-quarter mill for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services and one mill for the FCSD 25 Recreation District.
The board will also consider an administrative recommendation to request the assessment of 25 mills for local support.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- adopt the budget for the 2025-2026 school year
- approve the Fremont County BOCES Amended Services Agreement
- reserve the right to withdraw funds from BOCES
- approve district job titles, salary schedule and steps
- approve student and parent handbooks and activity handbooks
- approve inter-district transportation
- approve a $3,960 change order for the Riverton High School Auditorium Project
- approve a $2,890 contingency order for the RHS Auditorium Project
- award a $548,900 bid for the Central Administration Office Reroof Project
- abrogate Policy 5087 “District Staff Retirement Insurance” on first reading
- move forward with a proposed concealed carry policy
- accept resignations from Riverton Middle School Nurse Kenna Borst and Aspen Elementary IDEAL Teacher April Oostveen
Information items on the agenda include a reminder about the Auditorium Dedication/Ribbon Cutting at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, followed by a Musical Review at 7 p.m.
The board will also receive information about two agreements: one with Wyoming Senior Citizens Inc. for the Foster Grandparents Program, and another with Wind River Family and Community Health Care System.
Several revised policies are also listed as information items: 5085 “District Staff Fringe Benefits,” Revised Policy 5095 “District Staff Short-Term Leaves,” and Policy 5115 “Certified, Licensed Professional, and Professional Staff Advertising, Recruiting and Hiring.”
