Riverton School Board to host Frontier Academy graduation ceremony for two students during regular meeting Tuesday

(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.

The agenda for the meeting includes a Frontier Academy graduation for Joseph Lane Grover and Aurora Lee Pate.

After the graduation, the board will hear from Instructional Coach Yvonne Thornley about the present science primary resource curriculum.

The board will also hear a report from Frontier Academy Principal Justin Taylor.

Action items on the agenda include:

• an out-of-state travel request for Riverton High School Speech and Debate students to go to Iowa in June for the National Speech and Debate Tournament
• an out-of-state travel request for RHS Family, Career and Community Leaders of America students to go to Florida in July for the FCCLA National Convention
• an out-of-district travel request for the Riverton Middle School Leather Crafting Club to go to Sheridan in May for the World Leather Debut
• 2025-2026 student handbooks for Frontier Academy, Spur Virtual and Venture Upward
• a request to use $10,000 from the BOCES Activity Fund to support RHS students in the CNA program 
• a $11,400 change order for the RHS Auditorium Project
• resignations from Rendezvous Fourth Grade Teacher Kalen Meissner and Rendezvous/Jackson SPED Teacher Jeanne Carper
• a resignation from Willow Creek Principal Jeremy Hill
• a contract for Krista Stinson as a Rendezvous Fourth Grade Teacher

Information items on the agenda include a revised policy titled “Certified, Licensed Professional and Professional Staff Early Notification of Intent to Resign or Retire.”

The board will also learn about certified staff changes, including resignations from Aspen Elementary Para Taylorae Kuegler and Transportation Bus Driver Pam Adams, both effective May 23.
