(Jackson, WY) – Riverton High School girls and boys soccer teams travel west Thursday as they begin their post-seasons.
Jackson High School will play host for the 4A West Regionals. The school also boasts the top seeds on both the girls and boys sides. The Broncs and Lady Broncs have both already qualified for state and will receive a first round BYE thanks to their regular season success.
For the rest of the field, it’s “do or die.” Thursday winners qualify for next week’s state tournament and continue regional play, the loser is simply done.
Riverton’s girls begin their quest for state at 1:00 p.m. against Natrona County. The two teams know each other well, playing twice down the final stretch of the regular season. Both teams split their two regular season matchups with the Lady Wolverines and Fillies claiming road victories.
Riverton’s boys play Rock Springs at 5:00 p.m. The Tigers and Wolverines squared off on March 20th, with Riverton claiming a 2-0 win. Both RHS teams are the #4 seed from the west, they’ll each play against the #5 seed.
