All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Riverton, WY) – 20-year-old Riverton woman Lauranah Arthur was arrested for aggravated assault after a reported incident occurring on August 8, according the the Riverton Police Department (RPD) call log issued on August 9.
RPD received a call at 10:22 PM Thursday night, where the reporting party stated they could hear screaming and “things hitting the wall,” the log report states.
Upon arrival, officers found a 22-year-old male subject with a knife wound in his back. The subject was also reportedly holding a knife, and attempting to gain entry into a locked bedroom.
RPD officers “relieved him of the knife,” the log report continues, and then contacted the female subject in the bedroom, later determined to be Arthur.
Arthur was later arrested for aggravated assault after it was determined she had stabbed the male subject, who was then transported by EMS to receive medical services.
