There’s something powerful about a room full of people who believe in the same thing: that every kid deserves a champion.
On Wednesday, April 22, the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton will bring that belief to life once again at the 6th Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast at the Fremont Center. And this year, the event promises to be equal parts inspiring, heartfelt, and energizing.
At the center of the celebration are Cody and Crystal Myers, two individuals whose lives have been rooted in lifting up young people across Fremont County. From classrooms to rodeo arenas, from leadership camps to everyday mentorship, their impact stretches far beyond job titles or accolades.
Cody, a former Boys & Girls Club member turned School Resource Officer and now Campus Security Director, has spent nearly two decades helping young people feel safe, seen, and capable. Crystal, an educator and former Miss Rodeo Wyoming, has dedicated her career to building confidence and helping youth recognize their potential.
Together, they’ve helped shape programs that encourage resilience, accountability, and leadership, reaching hundreds of young people along the way.
Their shared philosophy is simple but powerful: when young people feel supported and challenged, they begin to see just how big their future can be.
And that’s exactly what the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton does every single day. During the past year alone, the Club served 315 members and reached 729 youth, providing not just programming, but meals, mentorship, and a safe place to grow.
This year’s breakfast will also feature a keynote that brings a different kind of energy to the stage: three-time Super Bowl champion Ed McCaffrey.
From the NFL field to coaching and leadership, McCaffrey’s story is one of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Attendees will hear his perspective on success, followed by a unique Q&A with local youth, bringing the conversation full circle.
The event’s purpose runs deeper than a morning gathering. It’s a chance for the community to come together, celebrate impact, and invest in the future of Riverton’s youth.
Because behind every success story is a moment when someone showed up. This breakfast is about honoring those moments and creating more of them.
