UPDATE: RPD Chief Eric Hurtado shared the following update with County 10, regarding last night’s crash:
“At 7:20 PM, Riverton Police Officers, Riverton Fire Dept and ambulance responded to a reported head-on traffic collision on N Federal Blvd and Fremont. Officers arrived and found a 2019 red Chevy truck, driven by a 21-year-old Ethete man, and a grey 2004 Toyota Scion being driven by a 19-year-old Riverton man. Airbags had deployed on the vehicles and one of the drivers was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.”
(Riverton, WY) – Emergency personnel are on-scene addressing a head-on traffic accident in the area of N Federal Blvd. and Fremont Ave, according to a post shared on the Riverton Police Department Facebook page at 7:50 PM on January 21.
The post indicates there are reported injuries, and advises to “be aware of emergency vehicles and icy road conditions.”
