(Laramie, WY) – Wyoming Cowgirl soccer player and former Rock Springs Tiger, Alyssa Bedard was named the Mountain West Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week after UW beat Boise State and upset #11 Utah State.
Bedard’s impressive flip-throw to assist Taylor Brook against Boise State, and a goal in the upset win over the Aggies would propel her for the honor. Alyssa has scored 16 goals as a Cowgirl, which is good enough for a tie for eighth place all-time scoring in the program history.
Aside from Bedard’s goal in the Utah State win, they also netted one from a different former Wyoming prep athlete, Lander’s Maddi Chance.
Cowgirl soccer goes to Nevada Thursday and UNLV Sunday.
