A 70-year-old Rock Springs man, Charles Berti, has died from injuries sustained during a house fire at his Rock Springs residence Wednesday afternoon.
Two police officers attempted to rescue Berti, he was treated for smoke inhalation at Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater County, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Berti was the building’s lone occupant at the time of the fire.
Rock Springs Fire crews are still investigating the fire according to K2 Radio.
